At Companion Memorial Crematorium, we understand how difficult the death of a pet can be. Pets aren’t just animals; they truly become part of the family. When they pass on, they should be treated with the same care and dignity that you would expect for any other family member.

We offer a wide range of pet aftercare services customized to your needs and preferences, including cremation and at-home euthanasia. Our mission is to provide a special way for you to say goodbye to your beloved pet. Learn more about our cremation services for pets, and see what sets us apart.

Our story

As pet lovers ourselves, we recognized the need for professional cremation services for cats, dogs, and other pets in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, NY, area. Our founder began offering these services in 2005, and since then, our team has been committed to providing compassionate aftercare for pets.

We are a fully licensed and state-certified crematory, and we have state-of-the-art equipment to fully handle your pet’s aftercare. Our welcoming facilities and friendly staff have made Companion Memorial Crematorium a trusted choice in the Catskills.

We are also proud to be a 100% combat veteran-owned company. When you choose our business to handle your pet’s end-of-life needs, you’re supporting those who’ve served in the armed forces.

Explore our pet cremation services

Every pet owner wants to say goodbye in their own special way, and our goal is to help you through this difficult process. This is why we’ve customized our services based on your unique needs. Our services include:

Pet cremation

We believe that every pet deserves the best, so we only use high-quality equipment that is specifically designed for cremation. Our prices vary depending on the type of cremation service you’d prefer:

  • Private cremation: Your pet will be individually cremated with no other pets in the cremation chamber. You may schedule a viewing in our private viewing parlor as well, which allows you to witness the cremation process. Some pet owners find that this is very helpful for finding closure. Afterward, we will provide you with your pet’s ashes in a beautiful wooden urn, as well as a cremation certificate.

  • Individual cremation: Other pets will be placed in the cremation chamber together, but each pet is kept separate to ensure their cremated remains are separate as well. You will receive your pet’s cremated remains and a certificate of cremation.

  • Group cremation: Your pet will be cremated with other pets. Since the cremated remains are not kept separate, you will not receive your pet’s ashes. Instead, we will honor your pet’s life by scattering their cremated remains in a local, private memorial garden.

Transfer services

If your pet passed away at a local veterinarian's office here in the Catskills area, we can transfer them to our facilities.

In-home pet euthanasia

In-home pet euthanasia is an act of compassion, and it allows you to be there for your special companion during their last moments. This can also help your other pets come to terms with the loss of their friend.

With the help of our hospital affiliate, Animal Hospital of Sullivan County, we can provide in-home pet euthanasia so your furry companion will peacefully pass on in the comfort of your home.

Urns

We have a full selection of beautiful urns, big and small, so that you can cherish and honor your pet’s life for years to come.
